Kate Plane | Teaching

Kate teaches all brass instruments at a beginner level, and offers tuition to trumpet players up to an advanced level. She also teaches piano and music theory.

As a student at RAM, Kate studied for the Licentiate of the Royal Academy of Music Diploma (LRAM), an internationally recognised teaching qualification, which provides a comprehensive introduction to the principles of teaching through practical work. She passed with Distinction in June 2007.

Kate is based in West London and enjoys teaching in schools as well as offering private tuition. She also works with Jester Entertainment, a music service offering tuition and workshops.

Kate offers an initial 'no-strings-attached' consultation lesson to all new pupils to give you a chance to see if you enjoy the way she teaches. If you would like to enquire about having private lessons with Kate then please complete the form on the 'Contact' page.

Kate is happy to take a school assembly to introduce herself and the instruments she plays to the pupils. Schools wishing to contact Kate about peripatetic teaching should also use the form on the 'Contact' page.
