Kate Plane | Home

Kate is a freelance trumpet player based in West London and works throughout the UK and abroad.

Having graduated from Exeter University in 2003 with a Business Management degree, Kate graduated from the Royal Academy of Music with a Postgraduate Performance Diploma in June 2008.

Over the years, Kate has played with a variety of ensembles, from small brass ensembles to symphony orchestras, pit orchestras for musicals and operas, jazz orchestras, pop/function bands, a jazz/blues septet and an originals rock band. This active performance career has seen Kate play at the UK's most prestigious venues, including the Royal Albert Hall, Royal Festival Hall, the Barbican, on-stage at the National Theatre, and abroad in France, Ireland and Thailand.

Kate also teaches brass instruments, piano and music theory, and holds the LRAM teaching diploma.
